Rodgers Development - Apartment Model Unit
Modern Parisian in the low country
Charleston's DNA is deeply marked by French Huguenot influence, visible in its wrought-iron balconies, intimate streets, and refined urban façades. Harleston village sits at the intersection of this European heritage and contemporary downtown life: historic streets filled with young graduates, researchers, and creatives.
Modern Parisian interiors translate that French heritage of Charleston, meanwhile embracing the comfort of the contemporary design for todays residents: tall, light-filled spaces that echo Charleston's historic sash windows and Parisian appartements; elegant, restrained moldings and curated details as a nod to 18th and 19th century European craftsmanship; Neutral, stone and plaster-inspired palettes punctuated by sophisticated color accents, referencing Charleston stucco and French limestone façades; slim metal details in lighting and furniture legs, subtly referencing Charleston's wrought iron tradition.
For Rodgers Development, this concept creates a building that belongs in historic Charleston, while offering interiors that feel aspirational and international to a young and global audience.

500 sq. ft House Challenge - Hand Drawing
Located on the East Coast, this 500 sq. ft. tiny house was designed as a compact vacation retreat that maximizes every square foot while celebrating its coastal setting. The layout prioritizes openness and fluid circulation, creating a sense of spatial generosity within a limited footprint. Primary living areas are oriented toward the ocean, treating the view as an extension of the home’s backyard and strengthening the connection between interior and landscape. Thoughtful zoning, integrated storage, and efficient planning allow the house to feel both functional and serene, demonstrating how small-scale living can remain comfortable, intentional, and visually expansive.
